Rock the Tower Fundraiser 2020

With the high water levels in Lake Superior, we were again faced with the need to add additional rocks around the base of the lighthouse.  The rocks around the tower and along the boardwalk are settling and need to be stabilized.  This project is scheduled to start in 2021 (contractor's availability and weather permitting), will cost approximately $40,000, and will add another layer of stone directly around the lighthouse.  All total, it will add an additional 300-350 tons of stone.  Maintaining this protective base has become our highest priority in preserving Crisp Point.  We asked for your help to Rock the Tower in 2020!  Our goal was to raise as much of the estimated project cost as possible so that we have funds remaining in our accounts to do a tower exterior restoration project again in the near future. $17,474.58 in donations have been raised so far. Those who donated at least $75 received a limited-edition long sleeve t-shirt and those who donated at least $150 received a limited-edition sweatshirt. Those who donated $200 or more received both.  These items were only available to donors for this fundraiser and they will not be available now that this fundraiser is over. Please allow at least a month for your item(s) to arrive. Not all shirts and sweatshirts have been ordered yet for the final order. This fundraiser ended on December 31, 2020. If you would still like to make a general donation to CPLHS or become a member, please visit our Membership and Donation page on our web site at https://www.crisppointlighthouse.org/member.html.
