Albert F. Brown was a Second Assistant Lighthouse Keeper at Crisp Point from June 18, 1921 to April 9, 1924. He was then transferred to Fort Gratiot Light, until he was promoted and transferred to a First Assistant Lighthouse Keeper at Passage Island Light on April 9, 1924 to 1930. On April 16, 1930, he was transferred to Crisp Point Lighthouse as a First Assistant Keeper. He was promoted to Keeper at Crisp Point on February 1, 1940 until he retired due to disability on September 30, 1940. He served the US Government for 21 years, 2 months, and 1 day. Albert was born to William and Susan Brown on February 2, 1896. His siblings were Mary, Carrie A., Sura?, Ellen, Lonnie, Joseph E., Caroline M., Josephine M., and Mark.
From Albert's World War I Draft Registration card, we know that he had blue eyes and dark brown hair. He served on the U.S.S. Edgar F. Luckenbach from 12/18/1917 to 11/5/1919.
